Amongst the array of lovely items on display at the Northumberland and Newcastle Society's Christmas Party was this image of their alternative scheme for the dualling of Jesmond Road in the 1970's. A creative solution, leaving the entrance to JOC adrift in the middle of the road!

We had a lovely time hosting @BeaconFilmsUK at JOC yesterday. They are a local company that supports disabled adults and young people to make films. Their current project involves making a short film about a ghost in a cemetery. We've never seen a ghost in JOC....until now....

From a few pallets, donated by @NewcastleCC, and the skill and expertise of James and Pauline, we now have two new, luxury 'bug hotels' in JOC. A bit hidden from human view, but we're hoping our 'guests' will find them!!
